Asuncion, Aug 6: Officials at a prison in Paraguay thwarted an escape by two inmates who outlined details of their plan on social media, authorities said on Wednesday.

After preventing the escape, officials inspected every cell at the prison in the northeastern city of Pedro Juan Caballero, seizing a large number of mobile phones and chargers, homemade weapons, alcohol and small quantities of marijuana and other drugs.
