Indo-Pak foreign secretaries hold 'informal' meeting in Nepal
Kathmandu, March 16: After India and Pakistan had cancelled talks between the foreign secretaries of both the countries for the Pathankot terror attack, Pakistani foreign secretary Aizaz Chaudhry held an informal meeting with his Indian counterpart, S Jaishankar in Nepal on Wendesday.
According to a report in Daily Pakistan, both foreign secretaries had an informal meeting over a breakfast for the delegates at the SAARC meeting of foreign ministers.
According to a statement, the meeting between the two foreign secretaries was purely informal in spirit.

The statement further said that Nawaz Sharif's special advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz is likely to meet External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday, Mar 17.
Reports also suggest that Aziz has taken the initiative to extend an invitation by Sharif to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the SAARC Summit, which is scheduled to be held in November this year.
However, there is no official comfirmation on this yet.
In the aftermath of the Pathankot attack, the foreign secretary level talks had been postponed as India expected action first against the Jaish-e-Mohammad before it could proceed.
While the talks had been postponed, the National Security Advisors of both the countries continued to stay in touch mostly over phone.
