IAS Officer's death: India vs Bangladesh match is on but fans demand justice for DK Ravi

Melbourne, March 19: Today all eyes are glued to television as India is playing against Bangladesh in the quarter final match in ICC World Cup 2015 in Melbourne on Thursday, March 19.

While people are enjoying the cricket match, two young Indians outside the venue of the World Cup match are demanding justice for IAS officer DK Ravi. [India vs Bangladesh match: Follow Live Updates]

The two young men were seen with placards demanding justice for 35-year-old Ravi who was found dead at his official residence in South Bangalore on March 16.

The two young men, who came to watch India vs Bangladesh match, asked for CBI probe into the case, so that the IAS officer can get justice. Though postmortem report confirmed that it was a case of suicide, people suspect the role of sand mafia. People across Karnataka have been protesting against Congress-led state government asking for CBI investigation. It was suspected that the Ravi had to pay the price for taking on powerful people.

Meanwhile, ABVP, the student wing of BJP, began protesting in Bengaluru. Unable to control the mob, police lathicharged on young students. BJP and JDS protest march fromm Karnataka Assembly to Governor house demanding CBI probe into Ravi's death.
