Washington, July 26: While a hostage crisis in northern France on Tuesday (July 26) saw the death of one hostage and the consequent shooting down of two armed men, 19 people lost their lives in a knife attack in a care cente in Japan.
Meanwhile, the Democratic National Convention kicked off in Philadelphia on Monday (July 25) with First Lady Michelle Obama presenting a strong speech in support of former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and against the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

China unveils a mammoth amphibious aircraft
