After suicide blast, IED found near Wagah border
The Bomb Disposal Squad seized the IED and then searched the area surrounding the border. Security forces also searched nearby villages and rounded up several suspects, The Nation reported.
A suicide bomber killed at least 59 people on Sunday evening at the main Pakistan-India border crossing, Wagah. The blast tore spectators leaving after the colourful daily ceremony.
The explosion also wounded more than 110 people.
A high alert has been issued along the Attari border area here following the blast on Sunday at Wagah on the Pakistan side even as BSF officials said that the flag-lowering ceremony for the day on the Indian side, which attracts a lot of visitors, was over by the time the attack occurred.
