Grenade attack at Pakistani TV channel
Islamabad, Jan 14: At least person was injured on Jan 13 in Pakistan when unidentified attackers hurled a hand grenade at a media house here.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned today's attack at office of ARY TV Channel and directed police to ensure all necessary measures to apprehend the culprits.
Sharif also directed the concerned for provision of adequate security to the employees of ARY TV Chanel. The attackers also fired gunshot at the ARY TV Channel office.
Militants have launched several low-profile attacks at media houses in recent months. In December last year, a similar attack outside another news channel, Dunya News' Faisalabad bureau injured three.
In November, gunmen attacked a DawnNews Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) van in Karachi, injuring one staffer.
