Google celebrates its 17th birthday with a stylish Doodle
Bengaluru, Sept 27: Search engine giant Google turned 17-year-old on Sunday Sept 27. To mark it's 17th birthday, Google created a cute Doodle, in its signature style.
It will be a treat for netizens today when they will log on to Google as the web link to the Doodle will redirect users to the search page of "when is Google Birthday".
The stylish Doodle featured on Google homepage displayed a retro plastic PC, sporting a birthday cap, showing a lava lamp and 1998's Google logo!
The doodle is simple and logistic as it presents computer with an old and bulky key board and there are helium filled balloons that reflect the celebratory occasion. The wire behind monitor looks like a tail of a pig.
There is a Linux penguin that peeps behind a CRT monitor, whereas humming on its side is made of Lego bricks.
Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin when they were studying Ph.D at Stanford University. It was unified as a private company on September 4, 1998.
Coincidentally, on 17th Birthday of Google, PM Narendra Modi met Tech Honchos at Silicon Valley at San Jose in California.
PM Modi spoke with them one-on-one and expressed his thoughts about how the social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and apps like Instagram and WhatsApp have made difference in one of the fastest growing developing country like India.
Notably, Google has been celebrating its birthday with a Doodle every year since its fourth birthday in 2002.
