Fresh gunfire in Nairobi mall, 68 dead
Two Kenyan security personnel were injured during the gunbattle in the mall and authorities said the militants held unknown number of people as hostages. Fresh deployments of specialised forces were made to flush out the terrorists. Authorities said there are about 10-15 gunmen who had stormed into the mall and targetted civilians.

Foreign nationals, including Americans, British, Canadians and Indians were present at the shopping market when the tragedy unfolded. It was said that Al Shabaab, which later claimed responsibility for the attack, did it as a retaliation against Kenya's involvement in the fight gaianst Somalian militants.
