Nairobi, Sept 24: Fresh firing was heard in the Westgate Shopping mall on Tuesday even as the Kenyan authorities claimed that the commercial centre had been freed from the terrorists and all hostages were rescued. Over 60 people were killed while over 200 were injured in the deadliest terror attack the east African nation has witnessed since 1998.

Meanwhile, Muslim leaders from across the world have strongly condemned the terror attack by Somalia-based terror outfit Al-Shabaab, which has its links with Al-Qaeda, saying those who carried out such barbaric acts do not represent any religion or faith.

Muslim leaders condemned the attacks, said they speak against Islam

They said Islam never speaks in favour of such ruthless killings of innocent people, including women and children. Reports said the terrorists were picking up non-Muslims only for execution.

Muslim organisations said the Al-Shabaab militants were trying to create sectarian division in Kenya in the name of Islam. They wanted the Kenyan government to pursue a robust anti-terror policy.
