Paris car attack: Suspect arrested after car rams anti-terror troops
French police on Wednesday arrested a suspect in a dramatic motorway chase after a car smashed into soldiers outside a barracks in a Paris suburb, injuring six.
Among them, two of the soldiers have been seriously wounded while the others sustained light injuries, the Paris Police Authority has said.
Following the attack, a major police operation has been launched in search of the vehicle in the Levallois-Perret commune.
The Mayor of Paris Patrick Balkany condemned the incident and claimed that there is "no doubt" that vehicle driving into soldiers "was a deliberate act".
According to reports, the soldiers were on a routine patrol as part of Operation Sentinelle that was launched after the Charlie Hebdo attack in January 2015.
