Dubai to get world's first spinning skyscraper in 2020
Dubai will have a USD 1 billion skyscraper that will exceed the height of Burj Khalifa, currently the world's tallest building.
Dubai is set to build world's first rotating skyscraper which will be unveiled in 2020. However, it was first proposed by Israeli-Italian architect David Fisher in 2008.
The skyscraper will be voice-activated command control that will allow the residents to adjust the speed. The building is set to have 80 floors that can rotate 360 degrees within the 1,375 ft tall building.
It will also have swimming pools, gardens and even car parking lot so that owners and guests can park their cars outside their property. The tower would also feature 79 wind turbines which will be placed horizontally between the floors and solar panels on the roof to generate the energy needed to spin the floors.
The tower's floors would be made of steel, aluminum and carbon fiber materials. However, it is unclear about the price of the individual apartment, but according to the building's architecture firm, Dynamic Architecture, the price for an individual apartment could range from $4 million to $40 million.
