Horrific Video: Chinese woman gets trapped inside escalator, but saves 2-year-old son

Beijing, July 27: In a shocking and heart-breaking incident, a Chinese woman lost her life in a freak escalator accident, but she managed to save her little son.

The horrific incident took place on Sunday, July 26, at a shopping mall in the central city of Jingzhou, when 30-year-old Xiang Liujuan had gone to shopping with her 2-year-old son.

The 'heroic' lady, somehow, managed to push her son into the arms of shop attendants near the top of the escalator.

The attendants tried to pull her to safety, but Xiang fell into the mechanism and was killed. Media reports say her body was recovered four hours later, after crews disassembled the escalator.

It took more than four hours to recover her body, after the escalator was disassembled.

The bone-chilling video was caught on the CCTV surveillance camera.
