According to Beijing, the Dalai is a "wolf in sheep's clothing" and it accuses him of seeking freedom for Tibet.

China said Obama-Dalai Lama talks are an interference in its internal affairs

The sources in the Chinese foreign ministry also said that China had lodged solemn respresentations with Washington over the meeting which was announced earlier. They said Obama's meeting with the Dalai is an intervention in China's internal matters and a serious violation of the codes of international relations and could severely impact the relation between the two countries.

The US President had last met the Tibetan leader in 2011 at the White House and the talks between the two Nobel peace laureate invited angry response from Beijing.
