Cairo, March 3: Within few hours of a bomb explosion outside a crowded area near the Supreme Court building here, the city was again thundered with another such attack at a police station.
A bomb exploded outside Zahraa el-Maadi police station on Monday. Three police vehicles were damaged in the blast, a security personnel said.
No injuries have been reported in the incident. Security forces and bomb expert team rushed to the spot.
The whole area was cordoned off and security personnel searched if any other live bomb was present at the place.
The explosion occurred hours after a bomb exploded outside the Supreme Court building in downtown area killing two and injuring nine others.
Attacks targeting police and military personnel as well as civilians have increased after the ouster of ex-president Mohamed Morsi in 2013. Over 500 policemen and soldiers, have been killed in the attacks.
