British teens may be passed amid older jihadists, one per week
Britain, March 19: In a shocking revelation by a former Islamic State militant, the fate of IS brides has become even clearer. Young Muslim women travelling to Syria to marry jihadists are being passed between men at the rate of one husband per week.
Describing the shocking conditions in which the women lived, the militant further revealed how girls were forced to marry and sleep with former IS commanders before being divorced and partnered with new husbands. This gives rise to concerns over the fate of the three British schoolgirls who allegedly travelled to Syria to link up with the extremists.
The three-Shamima Begum, Amira Abase, both 15, and Kadiza Sultana, 16, first flew to Turkey from U K, before travelling by land to the Syrian border.
