Unique marriage proposal for Barack Obama's daughter; Cows, sheep, goats offered as bride price
Washington, May 27: US President Barack Obama might be amused to know that a Kenyan lawyer has gone mad for his 16-year-old daughter Malia.
Felix Kiprono Matagei, who is also a student who is also a student at Oxford University, said he fell in love with Malia in 2008 when President Obama was busy in election campaigns.
With his unique marriage proposal, Kiprono also mentioned that he will offer 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats to the US First Family as bride price.
He was quoted as saying, "I have shared this with my family and they are willing to help me raise the bride price. People might say I am after the family's money, which is not the case. My love is real."
The young man also stated that he is writing one letter to Obama, urging the President to bring Malia during his upcoming visit to Kenya.
The Kenyan lawyer also said that he will propose Malia on a hill near his home village of Litein. Instead of champagne, a traditional drink of sour milk will be served at their wedding ceremony.
He will also teach Malia how to milk a cow, cooking ugali, and preparing the mursik drink 'like any other Kalenjin woman'.
