Sydney, Dec 15: Even as the hostage situation continues in Sydney, many Australians have come forward in support of the Muslim community in Australia.
#illridewithyou hashtag has been trending on Twitter now showing solidarity with the Muslim community in Australia which comes in the wake of the attack in Sydney.
Sydney siege: Australian police confirms siege has ended, 2 dead
It all began when a lady posted on Facebook that she offered to walk with a Muslim woman who ‘removed the hijab she was wearing in the wake of the attack.' The lady Rachael Jacobs said that she offered to walk with the woman, who in turn burst into tears and hugged her.
Soon the hashtag #illridewithyou garnered massive response on Twitter and Facebook with many showing support to the cause.
