At the age of 103 and 99 they married and exchanged vows
Jose Manuel Riella, 103, married his partner, Martina Lopez, 99, in a religious ceremony in Santa Rosa del Aguaray, north east of Asuncion. The marriage was attended by their family except two of them.
They had married fifty years back in a civil ceremony, but never got a chance to have a traditional religious marriage. "My children asked us why we didn't get married, what are you waiting for they asked?" said Lopez.
The bride was dressed in a traditional white gown whereas the groom wore a smart dress- shirt for the ceremony.

The wedding was attended by their elaborate family of 8 children (two of which couldn't come), 50 grand children, 35 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great- grandchildren.
The couple was seen holding hands as they priest went on with the service. While exchanging rings, the couple needed a little help from their family members.
