Online war: Anonymous claims to take down over 5000 ISIS linked accounts

Washington, Nov 18: After declaring war on ISIS as a result of the deadly Paris terror attacks, the hacker group Anonymous on Tuesday claimed that they hacked over 5000 Twitter accounts linked to the Islamic State group.

The group on Tuesday said in a tweet: "We report that more than 5500 Twitter account of #ISIS are now #down! #OpParis #Anonymous #ExpectUs," which was later on followed by a video.

Anonymous hacks 5000 ISIS accounts?

The hacker group on Tuesday sent a stern warning to the ISIS. In the message the group says that it would unleash a wave of attacks on the ISIS online.

"We are going to launch the biggest operation ever against you. Expect many cyber attacks. War has been declared," said the person in the video.

ISIS, in reply called them 'idiots' and issued an advisory to all its members and symphathisers on how to dodge these online attacks attacks.
