Air India Goof-up, yet again: Indian kids left stranded at Paris airport, treated inhumanly
Paris, June 17: National carrier of India -- Air India always made headlines for wrong reasons. This time too, the airline is in news as it has been accused of treating Indian children inhumanly in Paris.
Air India flight -- AI 142, which was scheduled to fly from Paris to India on Tuesday, June 10, was cancelled due to some technical glitches. While the airline made announcement regarding the cancellation of the flight, it did not make any arrangement for the passengers, who were stranded at the Paris airport.
More than 40 children, students of KR Mangalam World School in Delhi, too were in trouble. The students had gone to Europe for an educational trip.
This kids did not have any clue how to deal with the crisis as Air India did not make any arrangements for them and did not pay heed to their basic requirements.
All children were forced to sleep on airport floor. Unlike rules, Air India did not arrange for an alternative stay untill they resolve their technical issues or fly these children back through other airline.
The airline earlier had issued boarding pass to the school children but the flight got delayed. Later the flight was cancelled and all passengers were left stranded at the airport in Paris.
