78 people killed in Ghana gas station blast
Accra, June 4: At least 78 people were killed in an explosion at a gas station in Accra, the capital city of Ghana, media reported on Thursday.
The explosion was occurred after fire erupted in a nearby lorry terminal at around 10 p.m on Wednesday, The Daily Mail reported.
It was later spread to the gas station and other buildings in Accra, said the media report. According to initial reports the fire erupted accidentally.

Firefighters battled the blaze into the early hours while police and soldiers joined emergency crews helping rescue people trapped in the wreckage, said city Mayor Oko Vanderpuije.
