Bangladesh: 40 sustain burn injuries in BNP sponsored violence
Dhaka, Jan 24: At least 40 people sustained burn injuries in a string of arson attacks carried out by supporters of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-sponsored blockade across the country, a media report said Saturday.
Since it began Jan 5, the non-stop transport blockade has left at least 35 people dead and over 100 injured across the country.
In Dhaka, at least 27 people suffered burn in an arson attack on a bus by suspected blockade supporters on Demra Road around 9.30 p.m., police said.
