Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 disappeared soon after taking off from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing on March 8 and was never found again. The plane had 239 people on board. On July 17, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down in the Donestk region of Ukraine allegedly by pro-Russia separatists, resulting in the death of all 298 people on board.
The AirAsian plane carrying 162 people disappeared early on Sunday after its pilots sought permission from the Indonesian air control traffic because of inclement weather. The plane was going from Surabaya in Indonesia to Singapore.
Kin of one of the passengers who were on board MH370 wondered whether Malaysia is cursed as disasters were repeatedly occurring in the country without any prior warning, the reort added.
