Asaram's case placed on fast track

Asaram Bapu
Indore, Sept 5: Trouble seems to be mounting for the 72-year old 'seer' and 'saint'-Asaram Bapu as the court has placed his case on fast-track. Accused of molesting a 16 year old girl from his Gurukul, he has been charged for sexual assault. On the eve of 15th August, the seer allegedly called the girl for a treatment in his cottage and molested her.

This happened, while the parents were waiting for her outside. Amid huge outcry and controversies, Asaram Bapu was arrested from his Indore ashram and was investigated.

He also underwent a potency test, following his claim that he was incapable of such an act. He passed it.  Asaram's lawyers, however, raise questions regarding the girl's versions and call it a conspiracy.

Meanwhile, Asaram's followers have launched a 'smearing' campaign against the girl to get help from other quarters of the world and prove Asaram's innocence.
