Yogi Adityanath takes oath as 21st Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh
47 ministers are set to take oath today in Lucknow along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and deputy Chief Ministers Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya.
Firebrand Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yogi Adityanath took oath as chief minister of Uttar Pradesh at a function in Lucknow's Kanshiram memorial ground on Sunday. Cheered by tens of thousands of supporters, the 21st Chief Minister of the country's most populous state was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Ram Naik.
Dressed in his characteristic saffron robes, Adityanath then walked over to and sought the blessings of BJP veterans L.K. Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi as well as Home Minister Rajnath Singh, the Lucknow MP.

Maurya, who is also the state Bharatiya Janata Party chief, took oath immediately after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Lucknow Mayor Dinesh Sharma was also sworn in as a Deputy Chief Minister.

Swami Prasad Maurya, Surya Pratap Shahi, Suresh Khanna, Satish Mahana, Rajesh Agarwal, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Surya Pratap Shahi, Suresh Khanna, Dara Singh Chauhan, Dharmpal Singh, S P Singh Baghel, Satyadev Pachauri, Ramapati Shastri, Jay Pratap Singh, Om Prakash Rajbhar, Brajesh Pathak, Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary, Chetan Chauhan, Shrikant Sharma, Rajendra Pratap Singh, Siddharth Nath Singh, Mukut Bihari Verma, Ashutosh Tandon, Nand Gopal and Gupta Nandi took oath as a cabinet minister of Uttar Pradesh government.
Former cricketer Mohsin Raza sworn in as Minister of State in Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh Government.
Anil Rajbhar, Swati Singh, Swatantra Dev Singh, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Dharam Singh Saini, Anupama Jaiswal, Suresh Rana, Upendra Tiwari & Mahendra Singh took oath as Ministers of State (Independent) in Uttar Pradesh Government.
Venkaiah Naidu told the media that the idea of having two deputy chief ministers in the state was given by Adityanath since Uttar Pradesh is a big state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National president and other senior leaders of the saffron party attended the ceremony. BJP National president Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari,Mulayam Yadav,Uma Bharti arrive at Lucknow's Smriti Upvan to attend swearing in ceremony.

Outgoing CM of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav was also present at the swearing in ceremony.

Forty-four ministers, including 22 cabinet ministers, will take oath in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP swept to power in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, decimating the opposition.
