With three days to go for polls Congress campaigns full throttle in Punjab
Congress in Punjab tired to create an atmosphere of an apparent victory.
Chandigarh, Feb 1: With elections in Punjab are just 3 days away, Punjab Congress is going full throttle in campaigning across the state.
In a show of strength, Congress across the state took out bike rallies, roadshows, door to door campaign, street plays, pad yatras, and dhol bajas creating an atmosphere of an apparent victory, Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) member Payal Kamat said here today. Political strategist Prashant Kishore's IPAC is managing Congress campaign in the state going to polls on February 4.
The slogan 2/3 'Bahumat' (majority) was plastered all over the state - while the campaign song, 'Chahunda Hai Punjab - Captain Di Sarkar' was played through these activities, she said. Over 13,000 bikers raced around the state with Congress flag on their bikes, she claimed.
That apart, 400 dhol walas, and 1500 volunteers on ground were involved in door to door engagement. Simultaneously, 500 nukkad plays and sabhas were also conducted, she said.
