New Delhi, Oct 16: Bangladesh's former Prime Minister and Bangladesh National Party (BNP) chief, Khaleda Zia, would always remember her meeting with the then President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

During her visit as Bangladesh's PM in 2007, Khaleda, along with her delegates arrived at Rashtrapati Bhawan to meet Dr Kalam. Her meet with the India's first citizen was to be 15 minute long. But, the Bangladeshi PM was charmed by Kalam, who started his power point presentation and shared his thoughts on the value of science and education.

The President, who also happens to be an ace Indian scientist, became so engrossed in sharing his thoughts with the BNP chief that the 15 minute meet got stretched to more than an hour.

This prolonged meet disturbed Zia's other schedules. By the time she was relieved from Rashtrapati Bhawan, Zia was late for her meet with indutrialists at FICCI. Hence, she had to cancel her programme with FICCI.

But, calling off her meeting eventually proved good for Zia as she escaped from facing the ire of industrialists who were ready to bombard her with their questions. The India Inc was not happy with Khaleda government's decision of barring Tata Group from investing in Bangladesh.
