WhatsApp finds its way to the Parl; govt to create group to update MPs
The lawmakers' group activities will be monitored by the BJP Parliamentary Party Office. On Wednesday, prime minister Narendra Modi informed the leaders in Rajasthan that a report card will be prepared for the members on the basis of their involvement in the Parliament.
He also said that this will be a yardstick for the new joinees in the cabinet. Modi asked the 31 MPs, how many of them participated in Parliament discussion or posed questions in the House. Only 12 raised their hands. To this, he said that the MPs need to improve their participation even outside the Parliament.
The BJP lawmakers were further informed that they should be in touch with Arun Jaitley if they have any doubts pertaining to their functionalities. This, with a warning to the non-performers that they would be given "pointed reminders".
Strict check would also be kept on attendance too and there would be one person in rotation at the top who would monitor that the party ongoings are at sync with the government agenda.
