New Delhi, Jan 28: Congress MP and former Union minister Shashi Tharoor said Prime Minister Narendra Modi wouldn't be able to achieve the results he is eyeing, just with photo-ops. [I have done no wrong, so won't resign as MP: Tharoor]
Speaking to Headlines Today's Rajdeep Sardesai in an exclusive interview, Tharoor said the current PM was imitating many of the previous UPA government's policies, like the Jan Dhan Yojana and civil nuclear deal. "He is following the policies rightly but results can't be achieved just with photo ops," Tharoor told Sardesai.
Tharoor, a former diplomat, said there was no point of him switching sides in the future when asked whether he could join the BJP some time.
On the issue of the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar, the Thiruvananthapuram MP said he was being forced to face a media trial and could not mourn her wife's death.
The leader also ruled out that the Indian Premier League had any role to play in the Pushkar episode.
