What leaders think of Railway Budget 2016

New Delhi, Feb 25: Post Railway Budget 2016, reactions has started to trickle down. while BJP leaders lauded the budget, others took sharp jibe.

"We all were a bit mystified whether a budget was really presented or not" mocked the MP from Kerala Shashi Tharoor, may be for the pace at which it which the budget was presented.

The Parliamentary Affair Minister, Venkaiah Naidu observed that the Railway minister is making efforts to popularise Indian Railways by taking realistic measures. "he Minister is trying to make Railways more popular by taking realistic measures"

The Home Minister Rajnath Singh termed the budget as visionary. He said steps are laid which would invigorate infrastructure. "It was a visionary budget, many steps laid out which will improve infrastructure."

Another MP from the BJP, Meenakshi Lekhi said it was a well thought budget and ensure contribution to nation's economy. "It is a very well thought out Railway Budget, makes clear its contribution to nation's economy."

Former Railway Minister and present Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda said the budget would give best results in the future. "Certainly this Railway Budget will give a good result in the future."

The Union Environment Minister Paraksh Javadekar gave the budget 9 marks out of 10 saying overall the budget was good. "It was overall a very good budget, will give this Railway Budget 9 out of 10 marks."

Another former Railway Minister, Dinesh Trivedi hit out at the budget saying this budget was not statement of vision but illusion. He asked where was the budget? "Budget kahan aaya? Budget hota hai 'statement of vision', #Rail Budget tha 'statement of illusion"
