West Bengal: Bombs hurled at policemen in Birbhum district, two cops injured

West Bengal, Oct 24: Two policemen in Birbhum district of West Bengal got injured on Friday after bombs were hurled at them. Reportedly, the police said that the villagers were provoked by Trinamool Congress men.

As per reports, the police team was there to recover crude bombs from the region.

The OC told reporters that the police team went to the village on being tipped off and that the villagers threw the bombs.

"We had information and went there to seize bombs and we recovered some. The raid was continuing. Bombs were hurled at us," he said.

No arrest has been made yet.
