New Delhi, Nov 25: Controversial Islamic preacher Dr Zakir Naik whose NGO, Islamic Research Foundation was banned said he has no option but to seek legal recourse.
Naik said that not a single question was asked before the ban was imposed. In such a scenario I have no option but to seek legal recourse he also said.
Further he said that no summons or even a notice was issued to him. I should have been able to tell my side of the story, but I was never given a chance, he said. I kept offering my held, but it was not taken, Naik also said.
The NIA has launched a probe into the activities of the Islamic Research Foundation. After the government banned the IRF for five years, the NIA filed a case against the NGO under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
The NIA during a recent raid conducted unearthed several documents and found a scholarship was given to Anas who was recruited into the ISIS.
