'Vending hearts'? Rahul Gandhi meets the vendors of Delhi
New Delhi, July 13: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi met the street vendors in Raghubir Nagar of New Delhi. Before that, Rahul prayed at a local temple here.
Along with Congress leaders Ajay Maken and PC Chacko, Rahul met with the vendors to discuss their problems on a day to day basis. Promising to find a solution for the poor here, he further added,"The poor people here are being sidelined from the city. I will find a solution for these people."
The cloth vendors are from Gujarat, PM's home state butGandhi said they are Indians first.Rahul assured that he would take up the issue in the Parliament.
Rahul Gandhi also participated in a strike organised by sanitation workers who were on strike in Delhi demanding regular pay.
