Vadodara: Adopted daughter, boyfriend kill parents on Aug 3; Bodies found on Oct 18

, Oct 18: An elderly couple was allegedly murdered by their 16-year old adopted daughter and her 21-year old boyfriend Tirupati Society in Manjalpur locality of Vadodara city.

The police said,"A 16-year-old girl and her 21-year-old boyfriend Sapan Purani were arrested for killing 63-year-old Shrihari Vinod and his 60-year-old wife Sneha in their house located at Tirupati Society in Manjalpur area in the city," Joint Police Commissioner said.

It is reported that the murder happened in the night of August 3. However, the incident came to light recently after the society's residents complained of a fould smell from the locked house to the police. After the police barged open, two dead bodies were found.

The girl was adopted by the childless Marathi couple some 15 years ago. Now a student of class 10, she had started living with her boyfriend after murdering her parents. The boyfriend used to come to the house to spray perfume on the bodies so that it did not smell. Suspecting that the girl was involved in the murder, police started interrogating the duo when they confessed of the crime.

The teenaged girl said that she murdered them because they used to beat her and force her to study against her wish.
