New Delhi, May 11: The Supreme Court will open the sealed cover containing the Uttarakhand floor test results at 12.30 today.
The announcement of the results will be made following this. The court would also pronounce a verdict on when the winner of the floor test can take over as Chief Minister.
Meanwhile Harish Rawat who claims to have won the floor test moved the Supreme Court seeking to vacate the stay on the High Court order which had quashed President's rule in the state.
The Uttarakhand High Court had set aside President's rule in the state, but the Supreme Court had stayed this verdict.
According to the petitioner, a government formation would not be possible if there is a stay on the verdict of the High Court. As a result of the stay the state continues to remain under President's rule.
The Supreme Court which stayed the HC verdict had on a later date allowed the floor test to be conducted.
It was said in that order that the President's Rule shall be kept in abeyance for two hours on May 10 when the floor test proceedings are on. However President's rule was restored after the special assembly session concluded.
The results of the floor test held yesterday was handed over to the Supreme Court by the observer. The court after declaring the result will deliver its verdict.
The Congress has already claimed that with 33 votes two above the magic mark it had won the trust vote.
