Uttarakhand police played holi with 'Shaktiman'
Dehradun, March 24: Uttarakhand police played Holi with Shaktiman, the horse that suffered multiple injuries after it was allegedly attacked by BJP MLA, Ganesh Joshi on Thursday, March 17 in Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
On the occasion of Holi festival, police officials were seen smearing colours on the horse, celebrating and sharing their happiness while clicking selfie with Shaktiman.
The horse had suffered multiple injuries after the brutal attack by BJP followers and leaders.
After two-day long battle for life, its hind leg was amputated in an emergency life saving surgery with the help of ten veterinary doctors (six from Pantnagar and four district veterinary officers) who saved the his life while fixing the fracture with the help of external fixation. In connection with the incident, FIR was filed for cruel behaviour towards the animal. But now, BJP MLA, Joshi is out on bail.
However, Shaktiman is now in a stable condition and was seen enjoying the colours of 'Holi' with the police officials.
