UPA spends 21L for annual party
New Delhi, Nov 22:Is is too wrong to celebrate one's anniversary? Not at all. UPA government in May 2013 celebrated their anniversary, spending Rs 21 Lakh, reports Economic Times.

According to the information ET accessed through RTI act, Rs 6871 per head was spend for the party in which 300 guests attended. The party was held at Prime Minister's Race Course Road residence. Lok sabha and rajya sabha members, political leaders and media persons attended the function.

According to the information provided by Government Hospitality Organisation at Prime Minister's residence, the lavish menu included fresh juices, chaat and elaborate dishes like murg handi lazeez, kasturi murg tikka, rogani gosht, macchli Amritsari, gosht pudina biryani and five kinds of dessert.

Interestingly, the grand party was held when the country's finance minister and financial experts were talking about global slowdown and economic crisis.
