New Delhi, Dec 27: Akhilesh Yadav ruled Uttar Pradesh is notorious for crime against women. It is proved once again that only nefarious elements rule the roost in the SP-ruled state.
In yet another shocking incident, a minor was gang-raped by two men of her village out of political rivalry. The horrific incident took place in a village in Mirzapur district on Wednesday night.
Reportedly two men from rival group allegedly gang-raped daughter of a winning woman block development council (BDC) candidate to settle score with her mother.
According to a TOI report, tortured girl who was a student of class 11, later committed suicide by hanging herself in her house. It is being said that police inaction in the case drove her to take the extreme step.
Girl's relatives have alleged that police refused to register an FIR in the case initially and that is why depressed girl took the step.
Peeved minor's mother said that when she along with some relatives had gone to register FIR in the case, police only gave them verbal assurances. It was only when girl committed suicide; the police swung into action and arrested the culprits Pappu Bahelia and Bindu Bahelia.
Quoting sources, TOI report writes, "The girl, a class 11 student, was kidnapped on Wednesday by two men when she was asleep in her house. They took her to a field and raped her. She returned home and told her mother about the assault and also named the two accused as those belonging to her mother's rival group".
