UP: IAS aspirants get a taste of police baton for protesting against paper leak
Allahabad, April 1: The Allahabad Police charged protesting IAS aspirants with batons when they revolted against the leaked question papers of the preliminary examination of Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services 2015.
Hundreds of youths gathered in front of the UP Public Service Commission headquarters, conducting the exams, demanding the suspension of the chairman. SP Arun Kumar Pandey said that students were not allowed to hold any protests near the headquarters.
He said,"We have enough number of police deployed here. There is no permission to hold any kind of protest near the Commission. The boys have been told about it. A few of them came, but were sent back. Whosoever tries to spread anarchy will be arrested."
The first paper of the prelims were uploaded in WhatsApp. While the authorities cancelled the examination, the students protested across the state since the paper leak.
