Exactly a month ago, on March 19, the Bharatiya Janata Party formed its government in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The BJP came to power in the state by sweeping the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The saffron party won 325 seats in alliance with smaller parties in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly.

There were initial murmurs in the political circle for choosing Adityanath, the firebrand Hindutva leader, to lead the state, however, with a large number of 'positive' projects initiated by Adityanath government, the voters of the state are happy.

Be it anti-Romeo squad or loan waiver for farmers, the new government in the state has started its journey in the right direction, say political pundits.
