UP elections: Cong-SP now sing 'ye hui na baat'

Lucknow, Feb 7: The campaign in Uttar Pradesh is at a feverish pitch and the Samajwadi Party-Congress combine has s ared no effort to make it musical. After a campaign slogan, UP ko yeh saat pasand hai,"it is now ye hui na baat.

UP ko yeh saath pasand hai: The new Congress-SP slogan

This song, written by playback singer Amit Mishra, lists out the friendship between the SP and Congress apart from the achievements of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. The song is already making a buzz in the state and is said to be a major hit.

New song for Cong-SP alliance

The SP-Congress combine has relied on songs and one liners during its campaign. At the start of the campaign it relied on the slogan UP ko yeh saat pasand hai. The other campaign slogan was Apne ladke vs bahari Modi.

The song by Mishra who sang Buleya in the movie, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, has been an instant hit with the electorate. The song runs into 1.16 minutes and is played at all the joint SP-Congress rallies.

It speaks about support the youth have extended to Akhilesh also. The song is written by Raj Shekhar and composed by music composer Krsna Solo who have worked together in the film Tanu weds Manu.
