'Unwell' Haryana Leader Chautala reaches court to explain Rally-Hopping
Chautala is reported to have shown remarkacle 'recovery' after he got bail citing illness. He could be seen travelling across Haryana to ask voters to back him in the next week's elections.
CBI, which charged Chautala in a corruption case, asked his bail to be cancelled immediately. The judge had also questioned why Chautala was not arrested, given the high profile meetings in Haryana, where he said he would take oath as the Chief Minister from Tihar Jail.
The CBI said,"We made our efforts, but look at his arrogance." Chautala was convicted for corruption in the recruitment of teachers when was in power in 1999.
He was allowed on bail pertaining to a 'heart condition' . He is meant to return to prison in Delhi on October 17, two days after Haryana votes.
Meanwhile, the CBI wants a detailed explanation from the doctors as to why was he allowed to leave the super-speciality clinic in Medanta Hospital.
To which the doctors said,"Chautala had not come to us in CBI custody. He came to us as a normal patient...if a patient wants to leave, we can't make him stay back against his will."
