Uddhav Thackeray rules out alliance with BJP in future
I am not worried about the BMC elections, we will win all the elections I am sure, Uddhav Thackeray.
Mumbai, Jan 26: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday said that there won't be any alliances with BJP in the upcoming civic elections across Maharashtra.
"I will not go into alliance, from now the fight has started. They (BJP) have many gundas in their party but we don't have gundas, we have mawlas (sainik)," Thackeray said.
"In 50 years of Sena, 25 years were wasted because of alliance. We're not greedy for power," Thackeray. "Shiv Sena will contest all the civic body elections independently and will not have an alliance with them (BJP) henceforth," he said.
Thackeray's statement was received with applause. Thackeray has in the past criticised the BJP with which the party is in alliance in Maharashtra and centre, and directly targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
