Earlier it was reported that Asaram allegedly had physical relation with Shilpi who also used to supply girls, women to the spiritual leader.

Asaram was arrested in connection with a sexual assault case in which he was accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old minor girl in his ashram near Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Shilpi came in police radar when it was reported that the hostel warden along with another accused had told the girl's parents that the girl had evil spirit, hence forced them to visit Asaram's ashram. Later the "guru" took the girl inside his room and allegedly had molested her.
