Trouble only seems to be mounting for TTV Dinakaran who has now been asked to join the probe in a bribery case involving him. A team of the Delhi crime branch that arrived in Chennai on Wednesday met Dinakaran and issued summons three days after his name was included in the FIR.
A special team of the Delhi police led by Sanjay Sehrawat arrived in Chennai on Wednesday evening.
The team that headed straight to TTV Dinakaran's Adyar residence, issued summons to Sasikala Natarajan's nephew. TTV Dinakaran was booked on charges of bribery. Sukesh Chandrasekhar, a middleman that the Delhi police arrested claimed that he struck a deal for Rs 50 crore with TTV Dinakaran to bribe election commission officials over the AIADMK symbol row.
TTV Dinakaran had earlier distanced himself from Sukesh and claimed that he knew none by the name. He had also said that he would cooperate with any probe if asked to. While a lookout notice has reportedly been issued against Dinakaran to stop him from fleeing the country, the Delhi police team will now look to question him in the bribery case.
