Karnataka, Dec 27: At a time when actor Aamir Khan's latest release 'PK' is setting new records at the box office, there is a some bad news for the Bollywood actor. Several Hindu groups have reportedly filed petition against Aamir for hurting the sentiments of Hindus in his movie.

Complaint filed against Aamir Khan for hurting religious sentiments of Hindus.
As per a report published in The Hindu, several Hindu outfits have alleged that the movie has made a mockery of Hindu gods and goddesses. A delegation consisting members of various Hindu organisations met the sub-inspector at the Mandy East police station, in Karnataka, and submitted a complaint against the actor.

Those protesting against the movie have also demanded filing of an FIR against the actor. They have also appealed to the state governments to stop the movie's screening across the country.

On the contrary, senior BJP leader LK Advani referred Aamir Khan-starrer movie as a wonderful and courageous film. BJP is a right wing party.

A movie buff, Advani recently watched the Rajkumar Hirani directorial. He took a liking to the film and feels that a majority of people should watch it.

"Hearty greetings to Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra for a wonderful and courageous film that they have produced in the shape of 'PK'," Advani said in a statement.

"We are fortunate to have been born in a vast and variegated country like India. This however casts on all patriots a duty to ensure that nothing weakens the unity of the country -- neither caste nor community nor language nor region, and certainly not religion," he added.

Featuring Aamir as an alien, the film takes a hard hitting swipe on organised religion, god and godmen.

Aamir's latest offering "PK" has zoomed past the first week collections of his previous flick Dhoom: 3, which released last year.

While "Dhoom 3" earned Rs.179 crore in one week in India, "PK" collected Rs.182.58 crore in the first week. The film's international gross box office collection is $13.36 million (Rs.85 crore), read a statement.

Trade experts have conjectured the film may even cross Rs.300 crore ultimately. But, any action against movie would definitely hurt its business.
