Tourists attacked by honeybees at Konark temple
Konark, Feb 10: At least 15 tourists, 4 foreigners included, were injured after being attacked by a swarm of bees at the Sun Temple at Konark on Tuesday. Women and children were also injured and have been taken to the government hospital in Konark.
While 9 tourists were released after preliminary treatment, four tourists and two people from Chhattisgarh had to be admitted.
Meanwhile, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) have stopped the entry of the tourists till all the beehives are removed. The bee attack took for the second consecutive day and is believed to have been caused by bees whose hives have been broken by monkeys.
