New Delhi, March 18: One of the top school in Delhi, Ryan International, has openly come in support of BJP's membership drive by officially asking its students and teachers to get enrolled for the party.
According to Times of India report, the school has sent WhatsAPP messages to students, parents and the teachers having toll-free number 18002662020 for BJP membership, urging them to become member of the party.
While the school management claims that the drive is voluntary, but teachers and students say that they are being forced to enroll for the party. Some teachers say that their salary is being hold back pending their joining the party.
Meanwhile, managing director of Ryan International, Grace Pinto has confirmed the membership drive but said it is very much voluntary. She said the school management never forced the students, parents and teachers to join BJP.
The report further said that the teachers and students have to submit the membership number to the management which they got after sending message to the given toll-free number.
"Every staff member, from school gardener to senior teachers, was asked to get 10 members. Forms of the BJP membership were distributed and party's toll-free number was sent through WhatsApp," a Ryan staff has been quoted as saying in the media report.
