Three Gujarat Congress MLAs join BJP
Vaghela had on July 21 resigned from all posts of the Congress.
The problems for the Congress party in Gujarat are increasing by the day as three MLAs considered close to Shankarsinh Vaghela resigned from the party on Thursday and joined the BJP, said reports.
Gujarat Congress MLAs Balwantsinh Rajput, Tejashree Patel and PI Patel resigned from the party on Thursday.
As per latest reports, the MLAs joined the saffron party at the BJP office in Gandhinagar.

Balwantsinh Rajput will also be the BJP's third candidate for Rajya Sabha from Gujarat, the other two being Amit Shah and Smriti Irani.
Shankersinh Vaghela had on July 21 resigned from all posts of the Congress. He had then said that his supporters are free birds and they are free to decide on their future.
In his resignation letter, Vagela wrote, "Your leaders never accepted me wholeheartedly. Many leaders actively worked to ensure that I was defeated."

"As I can see right now that once again history is repeating itself, as a well-planned conspiracy within the party is at work for ousting me during the forthcoming elections. Hence, I strongly feel that I should not remain in the party at the cost of my dignity and self-respect," Vaghela said in the tthree-pageletter.
