Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir), Dec 11: Hitting out at Pakistan for using terrorism against India, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said terror is a weapon used by "cowards" and not the brave.

Recalling Pakistan's defeats in four wars with India, Singh said Islamabad has now understood that it can never defeat India in a conventional war.

Speaking on the occasion of 'Shahidi Diwas' in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua, the Home Minister said former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee extended a hand of friendship towards Pakistan despite its aggression in Kargil.

In a veiled reference to Bangladesh's separation from Pakistan, Singh said if Islamabad does not mend its ways it would see the country break into 10 pieces.

He said India does not wish to "fire bullets" at Pakistan, as it was once part of India.

"Kabhi na kabhi Pak bhi humare hi pariwar ka ang raha hai;Aaj bhi hum use alag nahi maante; Unke upar hum goli chalana nahi chahte (Once upon a time Pakistan was part of part of our family, even today we do not consider it separate. We do not to fire bullets at it)," he said.

The relations between India and Pakistan hit a new low after the attack on an army camp in Nagrota, near Jammu, on November 29. Seven soldiers, including two Majors, were killed and three terrorists were gunned down during the operation.

The attack was third such big strike after Pathankot and Uri attacks this year.
